AT Connect is a plug in modular screen to exisiting major bus stops in Auckland to increase user experience by implementing art, community creation and rewards for bus users.
A solar powered LG screen will display artwork created by local artists each month which will grow and revolve as users scan their smartphones on either side of the screen.
A singular scan will contribute to the animated artwork and users can gain cumulative rewards on the AT app. Users are also also able to submit their own artwork to the screen to increase community co-creation.
At Connect creates:
1) a new incentive to travel by bus to further encourage a sustainable way of commuting
2) a place where individuals can come together to create a unique and culturally reflective artwork
3) bus stops will no longer be a place of static and silence rather a place of engagement and community creation
