Design Toolkit Comparison Report

This report analyses how human-centered design methods and tools can be adopted by society, the community, and businesses to solve real-world problems in the 21st century. To understand the role of human-centered designs, we compared three design toolkits as four third-year student designers at the University of Auckland. The design toolkits illustrated various similarities and differences and how individuals can adopt design thinking themselves through understanding the specific methods and tools used. However, challenges may also occur as design thinking is complex and multidimensional. From a student designer's perspective, this report emphasises the need to encourage the use of design thinking as it has the potential to solve many societal problems.
